Why This Role Is Different
Most grocery managers run a section. You'll run an operation — with independence, accountability, and support to make it yours. Here's what sets this apart:

  • True ownership — you set the tone, build the team, and drive the numbers
  • Accelerated growth — remote leadership experience is a career accelerator that's hard to find anywhere else
  • Real community impact — your store is often the only option for miles; your work is felt immediately
  • An experience you'll never forget — Northern Canada is unlike anywhere else on Earth
  • A company that invests in you - relocation, housing, food, training, and benefits are all covered
What You'll Be Responsible For
LEAD YOUR TEAM & ELEVATE THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
  • Set the standard for outstanding service — resolve issues quickly and professionally
  • Build and manage schedules that keep the store staffed and running smoothly
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your people every single day
DRIVE SALES, MERCHANDISING & INVENTORY
  • Keep the department stocked, organized, and shoppable — ready for business at all times
  • Execute merchandising plans, promotions, and product displays with consistency and precision
  • Protect margins through tight inventory control, shrink management, and invoice accuracy
  • Monitor department results, track trends, and translate data into smart decisions
  • Maintain product quality through proper receiving, rotation, and freshness standards
RUN A SAFE, DISCIPLINED OPERATION
  • Uphold company operating standards and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all equipment and fixtures
  • Partner with store leadership and collaborate effectively across departments
What We're Looking For
YOU'LL NEED
  • 2+ years leading a team in a high-volume grocery or retail environment
  • Proven ability to develop people and build a strong service culture
  • Demonstrated results in sales, shrink reduction, inventory management, or execution
  • Comfort with everyday tools like Outlook and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced setting
  • Openness and readiness to relocate anywhere across Northern Canada
YOU'LL THRIVE IF YOU ALSO HAVE
  • A sense of adventure and genuine curiosity about small-town and northern community life
  • Cultural awareness and appreciation for diverse, close-knit communities
  • Experience with competitor checks, category ordering, and promotional execution
Working Conditions
This role is based in remote northern communities — which means extreme weather, close-knit teams, and a lifestyle that's genuinely unlike anything in a city. Candidates should be physically able to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work flexible hours including peaks and weekends. If that sounds like a fit, the rewards — personal and professional — are significant.
