Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and reliable individual to join our team as a Cashier. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service at the checkouts, accurately recording customer transactions, and maintaining the security of cash at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service at the checkouts, ensuring that customer service is the first priority
- Accurately record customer transactions on POS systems
- Verify and bag sold merchandise following NWC bagging procedures
- Practice "stop, drop, and serve" principles at all times to enhance customer service
- Answer customer questions or concerns quickly and professionally
- Follow all laws and procedures related to selling tobacco and controlled products
- Process credit purchases, refunds, and exchanges as per NWC guidelines
- Understand and follow the scanning code of practice
- Check for concealed merchandise when scanning purchases
- Maintain security of cash at all times
- Be accountable for all register opening and closing activities
Requirements:
- No education or experience required
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic math
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good communication and teamwork skills
