Staff Pharmacist – Winnipeg, MB

Winnipeg, MB · Healthcare

“To advance and provide comprehensive and innovative patient-centered health services to under-served and hard-to-reach regions.”

The North West Company (NWC) is hiring a Staff Pharmacist for the Muskehki Pharmacy located inside the NorthMart store in Winnipeg, MB. In your role as the Staff Pharmacist, you will be a valued member of a collaborative healthcare team, working to improve the health status of patients living in remote communities in Northern Manitoba. Your enhanced scope of practice will contribute to making a difference in the lives and health of the people you serve. Your practice will be patient-focused and consultative, with a mission to be the trusted provider of healthcare solutions.

Dual Role: Central Fill + Front-Facing Pharmacy

This pharmacy site serves a dual function. One portion of the pharmacy serves as a central fill location, where medications are prepared and supplied to remote Northern pharmacy sites, including NorthMart and Northern store pharmacies. The other portion functions as a traditional, front-facing pharmacy, providing walk-in services to customers in the Winnipeg community.
Because of this, tasks and responsibilities will rotate between central fill operations and direct patient care, depending on operational needs — offering a dynamic and well-rounded practice environment.

Work Hours
Pharmacy hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It is expected that you will provide services to Muskehki Pharmacy for 7.5 hours per day (or 37.5 hours per week). Should there be a need to work beyond these hours, prior approval must be granted by the Operations Manager.

You will be expected to deliver excellence in patient-centered, outcome-focused care according to the objectives, policies, and standards set by Muskehki.

Travel Opportunities
You may have the opportunity to travel to other NWC pharmacy locations in MB, NU, and NWT to provide relief coverage when needed. Financial assistance is available for licensing and annual reimbursement for maintaining licenses in MB, NU, and NWT.

Why Join NWC?
