As a Supervisor, Warehouse, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. This will include managing a team of warehouse workers and ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments within the company, such as the sales and marketing teams, to ensure that the warehouse is meeting the needs of the business.
Your Role:
Supervising and training warehouse staff, including setting performance goals and providing ongoing feedback and support
Developing and implementing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity in the warehouse
Coordinating with other departments to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and other warehouse-related data, and providing regular reports to the Warehouse Manager and other stakeholders
Monitoring and managing budgets and expenses for the warehouse, and making recommendations for cost savings and improvements
Ensuring that the warehouse is clean and organized and that safety protocols are followed at all times
Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse operations and support the overall goals of the company
Performing other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager or other members of the management team.
Overseeing the receipt and distribution of goods in the warehouse
Managing inventory levels and ensuring that goods are properly stored and tracked
Coordinating the work of warehouse staff and assigning tasks as needed
Monitoring the condition of the warehouse and equipment, and arranging for repairs and maintenance as necessary
Working with the warehouse manager to develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency of the warehouse
Ensuring that the warehouse complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to safety, health, and the environment
Monitoring the performance of warehouse staff and providing feedback and support to help them improve
Handling customer inquiries and complaints, and working to resolve any issues that may arise
Assisting with the development of budgets and plans for the warehouse, and tracking and reporting on key metrics to assess the warehouse's performance
Desired Skills and Experience:
Previous warehouse experience including picking, shipping, and receiving
Previous leadership experience is an asset
Knowledge of Dangerous Goods is an asset
Able to work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities and consistently meet production requirements
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks as required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to delegate tasks and follow up on completion
Must be adaptable in an ever-changing work environment and
Computer skills and experience is an asset
