Supervisor supports the Department Manager in the daily operations and execution of standards within the General Merchandise Department. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service, supervising and developing team members, and ensuring compliance with company and franchise policies. The Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence, protecting assets, and fostering a customer-first culture. Experience in retail cosmetics is a strong asset

Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Assist with shift scheduling to align business needs with optimal customer service coverage.
Ensure the department is daily business-ready, upholding merchandising and operational standards.
Assign and monitor tasks during shifts, especially when acting as Manager on Duty (MOD).
Perform competitive pricing checks and assist with ordering and inventory control.
Maintain and implement planograms and marketing materials on time.
Execute promotional activities per company and franchise standards.
Manage merchandise pricing, claims for damage or shortages, and adherence to the price book.
Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members.
Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance assessments.
Implement action plans for improvement, addressing issues constructively.
Communicate daily priorities, sales events, and key updates to staff.
Monitor and support store loss prevention efforts.
Process markdowns in accordance with policy and report shrinkage.
Ensure proper product rotation and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Enforce company, franchise, and legislative food safety standards.
Identify and report any health or safety concerns within the department.
Comply with all company policies, operational procedures, and applicable legislation.
Support franchise-specific operating standards as outlined in agreements.

Previous supervisory experience in a retail environment
Strong communication, organizational, and team leadership skills
Experience in cosmetics or general merchandise retail is a strong asset
Understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and loss prevention
